Not Me Monday

I sooooo look forward to Monday's, when MckMama shares all that she did not do, eat, see, experience in the previous week. It is highly entertaining, lets me give a good laugh, and find some relief in the things I most certainly did NOT do as well!

Check her out here (and stay tuned like every day, her blog is seriously that good!)

I did not crochet 1/2 a blanket for my bff J-Rae. (And I am not thinking that I love it so much I need to make me one now!)

and I definately did not enjoy shopping for 2 hours for my SIL B's 21st Birthday (already??) gift(s). And I absolutely hate wrapping gifts and making a card for her. I did not get a little sentimental when realizing that I've known her since she was TEN and that she is now a young woman! I even mailed the package on time-ha!

DH did not work on his grand rounds presentation on "prostatitis" all weekend which resulted in my loving the classical music filling the air. (and I know all there is to know about this now too!)

Bear did not get a bath and now does not smell like herbal essence shampoo. He is not fluffy and we certainly did not say "he's the cutest puppy in the world" about 50times this weekend Never!

what did you not do this week? check back next week for more Not Me Monday fun!

well, thanks, good to know!

I was watching the travel channel this morning, it was called "food paradise" and they were featuring those round breakfast pastries with a hole in the middle....and did you know?!?!?

it's gotta be "spelled d-o-u-g-h-nut because it's made with dough, not do."

And, now you know too!

High School Musical: On Ice ?!?

My college friend A was in C-bus touring with Disney's HSM the ice tour! It was wonderful to stay up waaaaaaay to late catching up and reminiscing with her and then seeing her in the show the next night! The touring lifestyle is intriguing and she loves seeing the world and doing what she loves: skating! Here are some pics of our time together!!!

Tiffany and Co. Bling Bling. No worries, we just oooogled over it!

Free pillows for finding your sleep number: I'm a 35......

A is a 35 too!

After the show.....thanks A for a great week! And for C-bus friends D, M, and A for joining me at the show!!!

texting randomness

Here's snipets of some random, serious, general text messages I've rec'd in the last couple weeks:

12/23/08 0935-DH: It's hard to smile today (after finding out about the fire that destroyed my mom and brother's home)

12/23/08 1739-Brother: I wish this didn't happen, just gotta try and stay positive

12/23/08 1742-Brother: I know it would be nice if you came and saw mom we know she could use you right now

12/25/08 0807-SIL: You mom made national news!!!!!

12/26/08 1611-DH: Smells like BO in here (at best buy in the thunderstorm)

12/27/08 1800-DH: Fifteen cents a gallon! (after using our giant eagle fuel perks!)

1/6/2009 0929-DH: Raining in january. what the heck!! (after yet another wintery day with....yup, raindrops.

And DH and I now text pictures of our puppy to eachother when the other isn't home. ain't that just so cute???

I think I would be lost without texting. It is how I communicate with so many people sooooo often! I now find myself worrying if I'll be interupting someone by calling, so I often send a quick text first (and then usually, the conversation just continues on texting!) It makes it easier to get ahold of DH especially when he's at the hospital (or on the other side of a smelly best buy too) and it's mainly how I talk to my friend D (well, that and CS messages and facebook flair). What did I do without texting?!?

1 out of 120 ain't so bad....

DH and I just spent the best hour together! he's been at work since last year (hehe 0600 12/31/08) and won't be home til after work tomorrow. So far, that's like 120hrs at the hospital. He called me at 430ish and said "you want to come have dinner wiht me" and I jumped at the chance. I was still in my PJs so I quick got ready and drove to the hospital. I met DH near the parking garage and we found wendy's inside the big-ole-maze-like buildings.

During our walk and dinner it was just wonderful spending time with him. We talked to much!! And I mean just talked like good friends do after not having seen eachother for well, 129 hours! We talked about work, my family, kids/no kids, and our march vacation. even though I would so rather have him home, spending this hour with him meant so much and it was just the little boost we needed until tomorrow.

DH's craziness isn't over yet: he has a busy upcoming 10 days with a presentation (or 2) and lots of reading. At least he'll be home for most of the prep stuff.

M-fricken-S

Why don't I do my shots like I'm supposed to?

Why do I think I feel new symptoms but know that it is prolly mind-over-matter?

Why can't they make something for MS that isn't a shot?

Why isn't there a cure?
