-this weekend was fun! movies, haircuts, ufc, hanging out, grocery shopping, and cheap-o theater.
-i love the sliders from buffalo wild wings.
-organizing my scrap space is just as fun for me as doing some scrapping. luckily, i got to do both this weekend!
-dh is on call 2x this week, that is 2x too many!
-this weekend will be a fun adventure with fun friends.
-work is the same old-same old. no tales from the jail tuesday lately, well, because things haven't been that interesting or entertaining!
-apparently i never screw the tops back on the laundry detergent or fabric softner and that really bothers dh. i'm working on it. step 1: admission.
-bear gets to see his fave groomer this weekend....at 830 am, after we drove all night. it'll be worth it though, right?
-DH and i have our christmas card greeting picked out. don't worry, i'll post it here too.
-it is already september?! woah, crazy fast.

happy 4 years with mommy and daddy

our pup! Aug 22 was the day we met and we can't imagine our lives without you! you entertain, cheer us up, and have so much to say!

state fair love
yup. us kids are at it again.
12 hr drive. mall of america. state fair. 12 hr drive.
we must really love the Great Minnesota Get Together.
that, or being random. hmmmm. and this time, M and R will join us for road-trippin fun.

remembering napster
lets see, how to write this without incriminating ourselves :)
DH and I spent many nights in college oogling over random music selections, choosing most of them, and keeping them to enjoy even today.
fri night, M and R came over and and listened to so many old songs and often forgotten artists (what did robyn sing anyway?)
we found cake, vengaboys, tv show and movie themes (talespin? gummy bears? ducktales?), i love you mixes from DH, DH's rock mix with one song on it, we didn't start the fire (when is someone going to continue that song with all that's happened since 1980 whenever he wrote it).
it was fun. music sure brings back memories. i can remember where i was what i was doing who i was with for a lot of songs.
blink 182 on road trips with a high school friend (where is she?), towers north staff cds in hotel rooms/cars, country hits with my freshman roommate, jump on it with S and A being silly, moulin rouge with Jr and E. crazy.
what song "brings you back?" funny, how you can always remember the lyrics even when you haven't heard the song in ages!

hooked on tv
I know so many people (and two good friends that read this blog regularly fit into this, even my MIL :)) that are addicted to tv. they have their monday shows, their tuesday shows....well, you get it. they laugh, connect, and have good 'water cooler' chats, i'm sure!
i often wonder why DH and I don't fit into this TV obsession. Sure, most nights you'll find our tv on, but we flip channels, settling on the something we both can tolerate. we have shows we really like, but i couldn't even tell you the times, and maybe even channels that they're on! DH and I talked about this the other day, and really, in the ten year's we been together, (and that's a lot of TV watching time i suppose) we have only been "hooked" on a couple shows: Survivor (i was our thursday night date nights) and Idol.
would i like to be in on the big brother latest, know what the greys cast is going through, feel just as desperate as the housewives, be lost without my weekly 52 min of regularity?
maybe.
but i'm not sure how to get there.
(PS this post isn't meant to be negative towards tv lover, just simply wondering)

ooh to blog, ooooh to blog
sometimes, i just feel our life isn't all that interesting. is it really blog-worthy? i mean, other blogs out there oogle over cute kids, offer prayers for those in need, offer hope to those who struggle, have great give-aways, i mean, are just for like, really important things! and here is my rambling, up-to-nothing blog, that sometimes feels more like a chore to do than something i look forward to.
but apparently, SILB does look forward to. she reads, she comments, so i'll continue more regularily.

just got back from a fun scrapping weekend, need to post pics from that and some of the items i created will go on my scrappy blog.
tonight, need to unpack scrapping things, reorganize them (as i do after every crop :)), and pick up our pals M and R. need to head to bed early tonight too, i don't do well with under little sleep. DH is already anxious for his on-call weekend, I told him to stop worrying, there is nothing he can do about what might happen this weekend right. now.
something random and quite possibly oversharing: eating two fiber bars in one sitting (because they are so good with chocolate pieces) does nothing fun for your belly. just don't ask me how i know.
but apparently, SILB does look forward to. she reads, she comments, so i'll continue more regularily.

random
1. back from vacation, the lake, family, friends, food, flights, etc were all fun. especially game nights.
2. DH has facebook now, welcome him and be his friend.
3. our puppy is still the most adorable thing ever, thanks to our friends M and R for picking him up yesterday so we could see him right away!
4. UFC nights are still so much fun, even when the fights are boring.
5. i like menu planning and grocery shopping on sundays. DH likes it too.
6. my DH is quirky about depositing money
7. we're having burgers for dinner (mine is french onion, his is bacon cheddar)
9. neither of us want to go to work tomorrow, noooooo thank you
10. scrapping job is just about done! next weekend is cropping in amishohio where i'll be working on swap items and a couple kits

hi SIL
just for you! an update! well, not really, because you are right here making cookies.
so, the homeland (aka mn) is cooler than the c-bus, like 20 degrees, but i'm sure we'll be loving the warmth of time spent with family and friends :)
almost cried at the airport today as two young men said goodbye to their loving mothers. there were tears all around, "i love yous," and downward faces as they departed. i'm reminded how much these soldiers mean to the families, and the country, that are so proud of them. keep them in your thoughts.
also, almost bought a C-Bus shirt, with a bus on it, but passed. that means maybe we can get some fun mn gear. hehe.
oh, and i'm supposed to bring some snow back for my boss....because apparently "there is always snow in MN." we'll see about that.
okay random, but none the less it's an update for SILB. loooove you.
