the week sure got a little more interesting as far as jail tales are concerned!
1. I meet with a client for a regular office visit. She proceeds to begin coughing and coughing, and not just something in throat, cough. No, a juicy cough. So juicy in fact that she proceeds to wipe whatever junk came up on her pant leg. Then she looks at it, and back at her hand. I offer her a kleenex. She declines and states she is fine. I know my poker face was replaced with a disgusted look. Lysol wiped my desk for darn sure after that!
2. Client is meeting with the community service officer and informs her that he would like to do his hours at a local park to "learn a few things." She tells him this isn't possible because his current address is across town from the park and he has already explained that he has transportation issues. He says his address is subject to change. That he may move to one of the following locations:
a: across town, by the park, with his wife,
b: across town, a little farther from the park, with a lady friend, or
c: to a place of his own that is too small to have anyone live with him.
seriously, where do they come up with this stuff.
i have more, but those will be for tuesday's post, in case, you know, things go all mundane by then!

lights on please
One thing I've noticed about Ohio drivers is this: when it is gray, super rainy, and wipers are on high speed, headlights are not on. I don't know why this is, but I guess I just thought if you have your wipers on, you should prolly have your headlights on too. Even in the morning. Even in the afternoon. Even if it is "light" out, but still your vision is all blurry from the raindrops. Even if you drive a small white car. That way, other cars won't come up on you too fast and have trouble seeing you. And I won't have to witness this and wonder why you didn't have your headlights on. okay?
That, and please don't drive with the wipers on uber-super-cali-fragilistic high speed when it is just barely, teensy-weensy, sprinking out. okay?

tuesday tale from the jail
Not much as been happening in the jail that is too interesting or different than i've already shared....
today i was highly annoyed by the angry, cursing man with super stinky breath. he then proceeded to tell me 3 different addresses, that he was unemployed; yet living at his place of employment, and that he just doesn't know anyone in the area, but sometimes uses his grandmothers address (number 4) to get mail.
basically, he does not get my vote on getting out of jail...since even HE couldn't figure out where he'll go when he gets out.
I finally told him he was very confusing, which prompted more swearing and his ejection from the interview area. score. the other men from his dorm were highly well behaved and polite.
with stinky breath.

Happy Birthday DH!
Just think, 10 years ago I was at your 18th Birthday dinner with the family hearing amusing stories of you as a child! They welcomed me righ away and ten birthday's later I'm still celebrating with you!
We spent your day scrapbooking (me) and studying (you). Not too fun of a morning, eh?
Then we went shoe shopping for some new work shoes for you....and you know this is one thing I HATE doing with you (shoe shopping, car shopping, and home shopping) but we have years and years of this to do so I'm just working on getting used to that.
Then we went to target and the post office and home for pizza. and hockey.
Happy Birthday babe! love you!

Week in Review! rAnDoM
The week started off very low key. A whole bunch of nothing went on at the MN-OH house.
DH was on call, and that meant a busy Monday night for him and that he didn't get home til late Tuesday.
Oh, and he was also exposed to a possible case of the swine flu that day.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, again. Pretty Boring and low-key.
Except for the rainy, gray skies that matched our moods. We've been pretty tired lately.
Thursday, DH started the Tamaflu pills as a precaution. I'm playing the symptom waiting game. And of course, I panic every cough, sneeze, sore throat I think I have, all day long. I'm hopeful that the pigs won't fly (get it: swine flu (flew)) at our house.
Happy May Day! It is 10 days til DH's Birthday and Mother's Day (oh, yea, better get on allllllll that!)
It is also.....ONE DAY TIL NATIONAL SCRAPBOOK DAY! oooooh yea! I'm heading to a town NW of C-bus for scrapping with (I think) 12 super fun friends. I'll be working on a little baby book for DH's cousin, our DC Trip, and maybe something for Mom's Day. Coooooool.
AND it is THREE days til the MS walk (and still time to donate!) GO HERE TODAY!

Oh, it was downpouring on the way into work, now it is sunny! wahoo!
What are YOU doing this weekend?
