i have a great husband
he always surprises me with flowers, dinners and desserts out, shopping places........
on friday, he called me around 730 and said "get out of your jammies, get dressed and be ready when i get home." Then, he took a round-about way to Polaris Mall and we went to CA Pizza Kitchen.....yum! (ooooh and you need to try their CA avocado spring rolls...holy delish)
he keeps me on my toes, even if I really don't like surprises (and he knows it, but never ceases to amaze me with them!)

fb info update
putting this here so i can remember the cool things i posted on my fb page :) hehe
Bio i do not use milk on the date on the jug. yuk.
i secretly give bear whole treats, only sometimes.
i could eat popcorn everyday, especially homestyle.
i do not get addicted to tv shows.
i hate when drivers do not use their blinker / signal / indicator.
i think dave and and jimmy are the funniest guys in the morning. (97.9). i laugh aloud on the way to work.
I have a vase that is never empty of fresh flowers from david.
i start my birthday and christmas list in the summer, and update it as needed.
i only wear fun socks. everyday.
i have the world's cutest nephew.
i am late to work, most days...only 5 min.
i hate that snooze is only 5 min. hmmm.
i have sweet home alabama as david's ring tone. i met him there. it is sweet.
i like watching UFC with our c-bus friends.
diet coke is my crack. but caffiene free since 7/4

life
Has been crazy busy for the DJP kids.....and it's not really fun! D has been working a ton..that's what you get from your 4th year residency! J has been busy with scrapping jobs, scrapping retreats, and being caffiene free! Yup, these peeps are caff free (J for 2 mos, D for a few weeks...well, besides that iced tea he has sometimes!)
we've been so busy we haven't even taken pics! but....tonight is a black tie even so you'll see some pretty hot pics of this couple :)

a little update on the djp.......
we're doing allllllright. D has weekends off so we're enjoying the time together (although we need to taper down the shopping....lol).
In May, we spent time in NYC with a good college friend (who I'm sad to say I've neglected to keep regular contact with...that'll change SS)
It was also D's birthday, it was low key, just like him :)
Memorial Day plans were changed when D's grandpa Peter passed away suddenly. We drove home, attended the service (and were very inspired by the outpouring of community love for him). Then we met our nephew X and spent time in MN with the family. It was a touch of home that I think we both were needing.
In June we went on a whirl-wind trip to CT for M and R's wedding. It was fun seeing all of M's hard work (and R's too lol) come together for a great day! Didn't see too much of CT but being there on their special day was worth it!
D also had his last call as a jr. resident! Now we have a year of weekend's off to explore OH and do the things we haven't even heard of yet...hehe.
July was spent celebrating "our 6th inning" in detroit. Six years already! We've now spent equal number of anniversary's in MN and OH.
We also endured a few of the HOTTEST weeks ever in OH...like 95 degrees, heat index 105. just crazy. Luckily our little AC held out....(don't worry, i'm quickly knocking on wood). And the humidity.....it like never ends. rain doesn't even kick it out of the system....at least in MN come sunset it cools down a bit...here, it'll still be 95 at 1 am. blazing.......
we're getting through August....and expecting a fun Labor Day weekend when mom and dad P come and visit. We'll be checking out "the wilds" for an evening of dinner and 'safari.' looking forward to seeing them and exploring ohio with them!
