You know it will be a quality day when the very first person you see at the jail is just plain bothersome. Annoying.
A few snippets of questions and answers from my interview with Anthony:
(remember, one of the things I say right at the beginning is “I’m not your lawyer, I don’t know about your case and I can’t do anything about your case or other cases you have.”
Me: single, married, divorced, widowed, separated?
A: single. But, I got a fiancé.
Me: how many kids do you have?
A: 2, but I have 4 step children, but they aren’t really mine, so I don’t know.
Me: the stepchildren, they your fiancés?
A: no, some other girls.
Me: what is your fiance’s name?
A: Tonisa, but I don’t really know her last name.
(so, you are marrying someone that you don’t really know the last name, could you like falsely know it?)
Me: Are you court ordered to pay child support?
A: well, see, that’s the thing, you need to file some papers right now to get my child support on hold so that way we can work together to get custody of my kids.
Me: well, see, I’m not your lawyer, so I don’t file any papers for you and we don’t work together on anything.
Me: Where do you work?
A: partial trainer
Me: partial trainer?
A: yup, I train a couple for 200 a month and a guy for 75 a month.
Me: train them in what?
A: you know, partial.
(I just give up at this point)
Me: how long you been doing that
A: since I left accelerated.
Me: well, I don’t know you, I don’t know when that was.
A: oh, yea. I want to say 3 years, maybe 2.5 years, I’ll say 2 years ago.
(tell me the truth, not what you want to say or what you will say.)
Happy Tuesday!
